Terms of Use for online German courses of the Global Academy "c-Wise" UG

1. Contracting party

The contractual partner is the Global Academy "c-Wise" UG (limited liability), represented by Irina Lamp (hereinafter "c-wise").

2. Scope of services

Participants gain access to:

  • Live online lessons according to course description

  • Learning materials for classroom support

  • Certificate of participation with at least 80% attendance

The courses are held via a video platform (e.g., Zoom). Content, dates, and duration depend on the booked course format.

3. Conditions of participation

Required are:

  • Internet-enabled device with camera and microphone

  • Stable internet connection

  • Valid email address for login details

The access data will be sent by email in good time before the course begins.

4. Payment

The course fee is due upon booking. Payment in installments is only possible if explicitly offered during the booking process. Without payment, there is no right to participate.

5. Cancellation & withdrawal

  • Up to 7 days before the start of the course: free cancellation

  • Less than 7 days before: 50% of the course fee is due

  • After the course has started or in case of no-show: no refund

6. Right of withdrawal

Consumers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (§ 355 BGB).
This expires prematurely if the course is used in whole or in part during this period (Section 356 (4) of the German Civil Code). By booking, participants expressly agree to this.

7. Technical responsibility

Participants are responsible for their own technical equipment. c-wise is not liable for customer-related issues (e.g., internet, device, software).

8. Liability

c-wise is only liable in cases of intent or gross negligence. No liability is assumed for learning success or exam results.

9. Data protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with the GDPR and used exclusively for course organization, communication, and billing. Further information can be found in the [Privacy Policy].

10. Copyright

All content (texts, worksheets, etc.) is protected by copyright. Distribution or reproduction without written consent is prohibited.

11. Place of jurisdiction & law

German law applies. The place of jurisdiction is – to the extent permitted by law – the registered office of Global Academy "c-Wise" UG.
